Text entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Richmond County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

If you email us, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It is not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Richmond County Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a database about named people's criminal records. It publishes directions to records held by the Richmond County Sheriff, the county courts, Northern Neck Regional Jail, the Virginia Department of State Police Central Criminal Records Exchange, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report, and this resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside businesses power the search boxes. Data submitted there falls under that company's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. Richmond County Criminal History does not control those terms. Review the provider's notices before starting a search.
